Sha Wu: Cello

Born in China, Sha Wu studied cello from 8 years old. She received Bachelor of music at Yong Siew Toh Conservatory. After that she Graduated from Mannes College of Music for both Masters and Professional Study Diploma with Mr. Fred Sherry. Ms. Sha Wu performs regularly with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra(2007-2009), Garden state philharmonic New jersey, and St. Luke Chamber Orchestra New York. She appeared as a principal cellist for Astoria Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Sha Wu won ROSL ARTS Music Travel Scholarship. As a soloist, she appearance in International Composition Competition in China, one of the biggest music festival Edinburgh Festival Fringe series, and gave a lot of full recitals in Calgary, London, New York city, Texas, Singapore and China. She has been not only invited to perform by Germany Embassy and Irish Culture center in New York, but also has been invited to many festivals as a principal cellist such as Texas Music Festival and New York Theater Musical Festival. She also participated as a soloist in one of the greatest Beethoven scholars Mr. Lewis Lockwood Beethoven Lecture in NYC. Ms.Sha Wu now is a candidate of DMA Program at Rutgers University Masson Gross School of Music.
